What specialized procedures do you perform?
Nearly all the shoulder and knee procedures I perform are Arthroscopic, or minimally invasive. I probably perform more cartilage transplant procedures than anyone else in the Hudson Valley. These procedures are not meant to treat the severely arthritic knee; they are indicated to treat isolated defects in the cartilage caused by trauma. We have also performed several Carticel autologous chondrocyte implantations.
What procedures do you most commonly perform?
As the Chief of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Westchester Medical Center, I perform hundreds of complex primary and revision knee and shoulder arthroscopic reconstructions every year.
