Spring is Coming... is your child ready
Overuse injuries in children are occuring with an alarming frequency. While some overuse injuries simply require rest, some can be disabling and represent a "career" ending injury. It's a shame to have to tell a 12 year old they can not pitch again.
Take it slow, don't overdo it, obey those pitch counts, stretch, train and refer your child for evaluation when they complain that something hurts.
We'll cover more injuries in specific details as I move forward with this poriton of the site. Feel free to post a topic for me to cover.
