  • I’m with @doctor_V. The more people chatting simultaneously, the more it becomes like trying to talk at a dinner party in a loud restaurant. Being open to physicians of varied levels of experience is laudable, but inefficient. The value for the discussion is not worth the time and effort to participate.

  • Similar to my comments about Bryan’s blog, I also agree with you— to a point. You would clearly be one the SoMe *pros* and the “value” to us as a group would be non-monetary, not easily measurable—but hopefully possess some socially redeemable value. Is there a more efficient means of helping physicians become comfortable engaging in social media? I’m all ears…. If we had a group of 4 docs who alternated as moderators for a monthly chat, we would be committing one hour of time every 3 mos. Doesn’t seem too onerous. Just playing the devils advocate…. I educate patients one at a time…. why not my fellow physicians too? Just my thoughts… and I appreciate yours.

  • Is the objective to teach other physicians or to learn from each other? If to teach, then the return on time is worth it, of course. If the objective is to discuss and learn, then I think it’s too inefficient to be viable. Let me know how I can help you.

  • I think the likes of yourself, Bryan, myself, Jen Dwyer and many other Tw *pros* would stand to *gain* little from this chat… But i think that our experience would be very valuable to other docs just starting out. Will keep u in the loop!. thanks 4 the offer!
