  • I have a question, that I hope you can answer. I need a knee replacement, I have known that this was coming fro a while now. A couple of weeks ago the knee just starting hurting unbearably out of nowhere. I have pain on the outside of my knee and into my calf as well as the whole knee hurting. MRI just showed more degenerative progression and my dr said it is time to do this. I just want to make sure that the pain I am having can be caused by this. I understand the knee pain and many things are connected but concerned it is causing the calf to ache as well. I also went for massage therapy and she told me that the IT band is extremely tight and could be compensating for the weak knee?
