  1. Thank you for this article. I had tears in my gluteus minimus tendons in both hips. My bursae were irritated secondarily due to the tears, just as you say. I had PRP on both sides by Dr. Brian Davis in Sacramento. It helped tremendously on the right side- I’m virtually pain free. The left side worked for a while but is starting to hurt again. I am active, walking a great deal, cycling and other exercise.

I know PRP doesn’t help everyone but it certainly helped me (and I followed all strength training, stretching and other instructions from my doctor to a tee). I think I may consider hip arthroscopy on my left side, even though the procedure is newer. I’m 55 and want to be able to be active for the rest of my life!

    1. Lynn, the article is amazing. Thought I was loosing my mind with the pain & trying to explain the problems I am having. Now I can take this to & show this to him dr. & show to him. .I’m glad you did well with the therapy & PRP injection. what is that for? I have had so many injections that I’m afraid I’ll start leaking! lol. Thank you for showing that the treatments work.
